Where to begin? Of, I know, here is Newt Gingrich's opening statement to John King after he had the audacity to ask him about one of Newt's ex wives disclosing he wanted an open marriage.

"I think the destructive, vicious, negative nature of much of the news media makes it harder to govern this country harder to attract decent people to run for office. I’m appalled you would begin a presidential debate on a topic like that...Every person in here knows personal pain. Every person in here has had someone close to them go through painful things. To take an ex-wife and make it two days before the primary, a significant question in a presidential campaign, is as close to despicable as anything I can imagine.”

I am always, and I stress ALWAYS, amazed when the republicans lash out at the media and negative attacks. Isn't their demigod, Karl Rove, the king of negativity?

And as much as Newt would like us all to forget, her certainly had no problems when the media went after President Clinton. As a matter of fact he applauded the actions of the media for finding Monica Lewinski and stood in congress and preached at how President Clinton was so morally corrupt he was not fit to be president and led the fight that impeached him. The ENTIRE time this was going on he was having an affair on his second wife, who he had an affair with on his first wife.

I am sorry, but Newt can not rewrite history any longer and if morals standing is so important to lead this great nation than guess what, eh is not fit to run this country. Has has fucked his way to and from DC. Now we is asking to be forgiven for his sin? He is a serial adulterer! According to him, in the 90's that is, someone like him shouldn't even be in contention for the highest office in the land.

As for John King asking you the question as being the most despicable thing he can imagine? Really, how about cheating on your first wife while she was being treated for cancer? How about cheating on your second wife after she had been diagnosed with multiple sclerosis? How about the fact he has three wives all the time preaching about how gays are ruining the sanctity of marriage?

I can think of a lot more despicable things Newt, and asking you a question about your documented infidelity isn't one of them.

The Four Stages Of Being Sick!

Stage 2- Sick! Cant breath, coughing, cant sleep. Irritated!

Stage 3- Feeling better - but cranky, Tired of being sick. Just want to breath normally. Trying to determine the actual color of the phlegm I just coughed up.

Stage 4- Emotional! You feel you have survived the plague and everything around you makes you melancholy and teary eyed. Crying at the drop of a hat!

I am at stage four today. I have been sick for a week now and ready for this shit to be fucking out of my system. I know when I cry at little things, like commercials on tv, that I am almost there.

That is on the heels of the announcement that one of Newt's ex-wives has given an interview to ABC news about how Newt is trying to rewrite his past! Good times!

On top of all of that, Iowa has announced that head crazy Santorum actually won Iowa not Romney. But they intend on calling it even since there are so many inconsistencies? Really!

For those not aware, Luis and I have finally set a wedding date, September 29th. Planning a wedding is not in my forte, but Luis is all over it, so I am not worried at all. What I am worried about is it is only nine months away! Egads!

The world keeps shaking and blowing its top, if the Myans are correct, we only have about 350 some days before the world ends.

I am sooo sick and tired of Tim Tebow. I know, no surprise, I am not a fan. He is anti gay, anti abortion, and he hides behind that ignorance and bigotry in the name of God!

In general, I am not a fan of anyone who wins a Grammy, an Oscar, a golden globe or a sporting event, like football, and the first thing out of there mouth is, "I want to thank God."

You want to thank God for what? For making you better than those that lost the award you just received? Is that what God does? I thought "God" had a lot more on his plate then making sure an individual stood out over another human being?

But enough of that, lets get back to Tim. Ever since he has started his gig as starting quarterback for the Bronco's, he has made quite the spectacle of kneeling at the start of the game or after another lucky win and thanking his "God" for taking the time out of his busy schedule and tuning into the Bronco's football game and making sure Tim wins again!

Hell it isn't even called kneeling anymore, its called the Tebow! Really! I will bet good money he isn't praying! I think he is actually thanking his lucky stars he won again and how he cant wait to get into the showers with his team. Just saying, thow protest way too much.

The real firestorm has grown because Tim of course has every Bible thumping lunatics in the country praising him for being so out front with his beliefs. Of course, there are those that say the football field isn't the place.

I am not anti-Christian, that would make me a hypocrite. I am all for people believing in whatever they want to believe in, whatever floats your boat. What I do have an issue with is when you force me to be a part of your beliefs. Does anyone remember when religion used to be a private matter between you and your God?

Religion to me is about ones own private spiritual journey. About your journey to the path of enlightenment. A journey that brings you into the love and light that we all hold inside us.

For Pat Robertson, and all the other so called Christians out there that are rallying around their hero, and we all know that this hero will fall, I peacefully request that you sit back and shut the fuck up.

Learning to Forgive

I have always been told you can only truly forgive someone if are willing to forget as well. That is a hard one for me on many levels, not only for what I need to forget, but who I need to forgive.

I have shared many stories with you on this blog, but none will be as personal and go as deep as this one. I am at peace with finally setting this information free into the universe in hopes that it will start to release the pain I have lived with for 37 years and counting.

At the age of six I was raped for the first time by my step fathers brother. This continued until the age of twelve. If that wasn't horrible enough, the true outrage comes from the fact that my mother and my step father were both aware that this was going on and made personal choices, because of the place they were in their lives at the time, to continuously put me in a situation where I could be repeatedly raped.

You can call it molestation if it makes you feel more comfortable, but the fact is, a man three times my age inserted his penis in my anus and in my mouth, if that isn't rape, please tell me what name you wish to give the act.

Every day I look in the mirror and feel anger, sadness, shame and guilt. Some of you may know what I am talking about and some of you have had the pleasure of never having to experience these feelings, you are blessed.

The anger I feel is towards my parents. How could the people whose sole responsibility was to protect me, could fail so miserably. They could have given a fuck about what was happening to me as long as they were able to go out and party with their friends, this was the 70's, a different time in this country. No excuses, no rescues.

The sadness I feel is for my step fathers brother. He was sick, not only was he raping me, but there were others. His family knew he was sick and repeatedly put him in a losing situation. If it wasn't me, it was one of my cousins, who knows how many.

The shame and guilt is something I carry deep within me. You see, being raped didn't make me gay. I have always known and can remember back to taking baths with my brothers and being intrigued by another boys body. Somewhere in my mind I have always questioned if my rapist picked up on my sexuality and figured it would be ok. That somehow I would enjoy being with another man in this way.

Now comes the hard part. In my search for inner peace and allowing myself to be truly happy for once in my life, I need to get through the pain of these events. I have always prided myself as being independent and a survivor when the realities of the situation are that I was running scared.

I drank, I moved away from my family as soon as I could, I alienated them and tried my best to let the wounds heal. I have recently realized, with the help of Luis and a group of men that have become my true brothers, that the wounds haven't healed. What they have done is callused and caused a hard covering protecting my soul. I was doing the one thing my parents never did and that was protect my inner child.

Since September, I have been working hard at removing that hard covering and setting that child free. I have been ripping the pain away and setting it free and releasing it into the universe in efforts to take the power away from what happened.

Last night I feel that I finally broke through and found my inner child. He has seen better days. He is broken, but for the first time in my life, I realize that he is not broken beyond repair. All of these years I have thought the only way to protect him was to shield him from the evils that surrounded him, when in actuality the only thing I managed to do was suffocate him.

Now I am looking deep into my soul and I am seeing a little boy standing there looking a little shell shocked. He is seeing light for the first time in many years. That light is the love from a group of men who want nothing more than to see the little boy free and happy. It is hard for me to allow that love reach my little boy.

I came to the realization last week that up until September, that I had never had a loving relationship with another man where sex wasn't involved. For the first time in my life the six year old boy deep inside me is seeing that unconditional love does exist, and I am scared. But I understand now, that for the wounds to actually heal, I need to allow that love in and I need to let my inner child nourish and feed off from all that love has to offer.

Once those wounds start to form scars the task at hand will be allowing myself the gift of forgiveness. I realize now that my little boy will never laugh and play like he should until I am able to really set him free and to do that I need to be able to forgive.

I have forgiven my rapist. He was a sick man who even though he knew what he was doing was wrong, he in no way had the resources to stop him from doing what he did. He passed away a few years ago, it was a horrible, painful death. I have no shame in admitting that there was some satisfaction in knowing that.

I have forgiven myself. The inner struggle about how I allowed this to happen is gone. I was six. I did what I was supposed to do, I told my parents. Their inaction is where learning to forgive is the hardest struggle for me.

I want to be able to talk to mother and not have flashbacks from the past. I want to be able focus on the future and try and feel love for the woman who brought me into this world while there is still time.

To do this, I need to let go. I need to accept the love that Luis fills me with every minute of the day as well as the love that comes from a group of men that have fought there way through the calluses around my soul.

With their combined love, support, and energy I know the day is coming when I can talk to my mother and actually tell her I love her and really mean the words.

What happened to me was not pretty, but as of last night I have made a choice. I can no longer carry the sadness, anger and shame that is stopping me from healing. For the sake of Little Danny and for my relationship with Luis I need to focus on finding a way to forgive my parents.

I know I will get there. Learning to forgive will not be easy, but it is essential if I ever want to acheive true harmony and happiness. It wont be today and it certainly wont be tomorrow, but it will happen. I have the tools and support, but most important of all, I have love.

I am a man amongst men because I am honest.

My mission in life is to create a more loving world by sharing my truth, caring and respecting my fellow man.

On Sunday, I got a note from my religious uncle. It said, "This offends me, please remove it."

No good gentle readers, if you know anything about me, that wasn't going to happen. My response was very gentle, but went like this.

"Gary, thanks for dropping me a note. Did you by chance send a note to Herman Cain and tell him how offended you were by his remarks? Furthermore, do you send notes to your friends when they post hateful homophobic remarks on their Facebook pages and tell them you are offended and ask them to remove them?"

His response was that I was too angry and I needed to find another way to vent that anger and he was praying for me.

The world has changed as I know it. Actually, let me rephrase that, I have changed as the world knows it.

Last weekend I went on an adventure that has changed my life forever. I had reached a point in my life where work was killing me, it was depressing me, it was starting to wear me down and yes, it was causing some stress at home.

That being said, with the guidance of Luis, I went on a spiritual journey and in 48 hours I come to you as a changed man. I woke up Monday morning and for the first time in my life I actually loved who I saw in the mirror. Believe it or not people, that's a big fucking step for me.

I come to you today as a new man. One that is full of love, full of energy and full of a new sense of being. I was able to process a lot the bullshit from my past that has held me back for more years than I care to think about. With the love and support of a group of men, strangers believe it or not, I was able to look my fear in the eye and release that energy into the world and out of my soul.

The weight of the world has been lifted off my shoulders. I am walking taller, I am carrying myself with a confidence that I never knew I had inside me. Even my friends have noticed a difference and most important, Luis has noticed.

I come to you as a new man that has a mission in life, that is to create a more loving world by being honest and forgiving.

I could go on and on about how fucking amazing I feel, but you would get bored with that! But for those that care, I am doing great and I check in on your blogs often. Not as often as I like, but my blog friends will always have a place in my heart.

I am tired of this and the only way it is going to change is if "We The People" stand up and tell both parties that enough is enough.

The goal of politicians have shifted from doing what is right for us to tricks and maneuvers to get themselves re-elected and to make sure Obama does not.

You may have noticed that my postings are getting fewer and fewer these days. It isn't because I don't have anything to say, lord knows that wont ever be the case, it is because my life has just gotten very hectic.

Within the last week I have been given a promotion at work and a special project on top of that, which is going to require me to travel pretty extensively for three months back and forth to our nations capitol. I am very excited about the opportunities, but the realities of the situation are obvious.

My first focus in life is Luis and if work is going to be taking me away more frequently and for longer periods of time, then what time we do get to spend with each other needs to be about us and not me blogging.

I have met some amazing blogger friends and I will always be checking in on you and your lives. I thank you all for for friendship over the years, your advice and as always the comments.

This isn't goodbye, this is a you will be hearing from me less frequently. The upcoming election, LGBT rights, our upcoming trip to Italy are all things that I look forward to sharing with everyone. Of course I am sure a naked picture will pop up on here every now and then as well. I have to please everyone.

We started out by doing Bike The Drive. 35 miles in the cold wet fog! Not how I would have liked to do it, but we did it none the less and in about two hours time!

Then off to Disney, where we were greeted at our time share!

We visited Harry Potters world and had some butter beer!

He hung out at Epcot and the Magic Kingdom and hung out with Mickey.

Of course we ate!

And when we got home, we found that this little guy, a house finch I believe, was
guarding his three little hatch lings that are growing up in our ferns!

At 5:30 this morning it was 81 degrees! The heat index is supposed to head into the 100's today, the hottest weather we have seen in five years. It wasnt even this hot in Florida!

I Have Returned

Well, how have you all been doing? Me, pretty much fucking fantastic. Luis and I spent eight glorious days at our place in Disney. This was the first time that the two of us have gone down there alone and not felt the need to race all over the different theme parks entertaining our guests. Not that we mind that, but I think we both were in desperate need to unwind and recharge. We did just that.

We did manage to go to Universal and got to go to the new Harry Potter Experience. If you are a Potter fan, it is a must see, and the butter beer! OMG!!! My only suggestion, wait until after you ride the dragon roller coaster before you indulge.

I have a ton more to share and a ton of pictures to pass along as well.

Believe it or not, I don't think I turned on the tv and watched the news once so I am pretty much sure I am out of the loop about everything going on in the world. I think a volcano erupted, Wiener showed his wiener and Sara Palin proved she is still a fucking idiot!

The city of Chicago cancelled the July fourth fireworks. A 22 year old dropped dead from running the half marathon in 90 degree heat, a week after the beach was closed because 7 people at the beech weren't smart enough to go into the fucking water and had heat exhaustion. Seriously? You are at a fucking beach, if you are that damn hot, get your ass in the water and cool off!

OH, how I missed the world. Anywhore, A lot of catching up to do, at work, on your blogs, blah blah blah.

Where Has The Week Gone?

I woke up this morning and realized it was Thursday! That has caused e to freak out just a bit. Next week I am on vacation so I have had a ton of shit that needs to be taken care of. Throw some work drama on top of all of that and I am way behind the eight ball. I am so behind as a matter of fact that I still haven't had a chance to watch GLEE! I know, the travesty.

Anywho, here are some odds and ends of my week.

I have been working on a special project that I will share with you all tomorrow. It is my first attempt at anything like this, but I don't think its half bad.

Chris Meloni has abruptly announced he is leaving Law & Order:SVU! What the hell people! I am not so sure I can watch the show without his hotness swaggering across the screen. A sad day for the L&O franchise.

Our former idiot Governor is supposed to testify in his corruption trial. Yes it is still going on and yes it is still annoying!

Did you hear? Poperah is no longer on the air! Do you hear that? that is the sighs of millions of people around the world who are thrilled to never have to hear "Did you hear what Oprah said today?" Buh Bye!

I didn't watch the American Idol finally, I told you that I was done when James got kicked out and I was serious, but I did hear that Skelator and Hopez put on quite the performance. After I watched it, I longed to go back to Puerto Rico. I love the music, the food, the men. Oh, and the boy one, even though the producers where trying to force feed a girl winner.

What is up with these tornadoes! OMG! As a child growing up In tornado alley, I have lived through my share of close calls. We would here the tornado sirens and run to the porch and try and see it coming. I honestly don't think I would do that at this point. They only seem to be getting bigger. My heart goes out to these people.

A report this week said 57% of Americans do not use all of their vacations! See the first part of this post! Of those 57% almost all of them say they come with strings attached. Must check in via email, phone, only one week at a time. No wonder we are all stressed out and about ready to crack in this country! When are we going to become more civilized like Europe? They get a minimum of four week plus holidays!

My question, why are you giving your money to someone who is supposedly going to be raptured with you? That's the synic in me I guess.

1-The Republican party will do whatever they have to to make sure the economy fails to improve. They know the only way for them to regain the White House is to make sure unemployment remains high and the debt higher.

Their policies of giving the rich tax breaks so they spend their cash doesn't seem to be doing much on my end, what about yours?

2-It cost me $60 to fill my car up with gas this morning. $4.65 a gallon! The same Republicans listed in #1 are in the pockets of all of the major oil companies that are getting billion dollar tax subsides and taking away multi billion dollar profits!

Are we so stupid as a country to not see that the republicans are pushing the oil companies to continue to keep the price of gas high in efforts to hurt the economic recovery and stop Obama from being re-elected. Country first!

3- Newt and Arnold, two very outstanding members of the family value based Republican party. Affairs, illegitimate children, all in the name for the love of their country. I think I need to switch parties.

4- The Donald. I would have thought he was a better business man than this, but he was willing to sacrifice his tv show, hotel and casinos for a publicity stunt. I don't know anyone in the LGBT community watching his show or staying in his casino's or hotels after his rants on our lives. Was it worth it Donald? Oh, before I forget, how many times has he been married?

5-I am over American Idol. I didn't post last week that James was eliminated because I was so pissed off. I am completely convinced that the show is rigged. I could give a flying fuck who wins. If they wanted to to be a Country Idol, just call it that, but don't steer the audience so blatantly towards a genre. In it to win it? I don't think so. I predict the rating will drop this week after last weeks elimination.

6- Three high profile men have come out of the closet. The president of the Phoenix Suns, Don Lemon of CNN, and a Vilanova basketball player/rapper. Come out, come out where ever you are!

In March I posted that Luis was doing the Chicago AIDS Ride. In an effort to continue to raise money for the charities involved, Luis decided that we would host an intimate wine party. I little more grown up that some of our other parties, but still we would be serving great wine, yummy cheeses and of course some scrumptious hour devours. The catch, he was asking for a $50 donation.

Hear that, that is the crickets chirping people. That's right! All of those people that have no problem invading our house, tracking mud onto my rugs, breaking my furniture, have yet to respond. The same people that have no problem bringing three and four friends to our parties when we our shelling out upwards of $5,000. Yep, not a word.

We have sent out at least three reminders to all of our "friends" reminding them that the party is Saturday even going as far as to say because of the economy he knows that $50 may be too much, but he was willing to take what you could afford.

Guess what, they don't even have the fucking courtesy to respond with an excuse on why they wont be attending. No regrets, just no fucking reply.

I guarantee you that if we were to put on there that this was a free party where you could come into my house, drink my booze and eat my food for free, the line would be out the fucking door.

I told Luis we would be holding onto the list and be guaranteed that when we hold our annual fall party, it will be a lot smaller because I will not be inviting any of the losers that couldn't take the time to even respond to this extremely important cause!

I am still trying to catch up but here are a few little tid bits that have been tossed my way or caught my attention that I felt I would share.

Poperah had a street named after her yesterday here in Chicago, you know the town that her beard Stedman said has shown her no respect or appreciation for in the 25 years she had slopped all over the city. Unfortunately we don't have any six lane highways big enough for her ass or ego, so she is stuck with the street in front of HARPO studios. Two weeks and counting!

I am a little stunned about Arnold and Maria splitting up out in California. After twenty five years of dealing with his stupid gaped teeth and bad accent I would have thought she could have dealt with anything. I cant wait to hear who slept around on who? I mean come on, she is a Kennedy, she is not a saint. I love the sanctity of opposite sex marriages! Warms the heart.

If you get a chance, go to YOUTUBE and look for the interview David Letterman did with Chas Bono. Amazingly well done!

Justin Bieber was referred to as a brat by Marge Helgenberger when he was on CSI last year. He responded that "it's "lame" when people he briefly met make comments about him." Really Justin, what that says to me if someone only met you briefly and they thought you were a brat, then if they would have spent any more time with you, they probably would have had more harsh words to describe you. You know this kid is a fucking terror!

Brett Favre says he is done with football, AGAIN! Really, maybe it is the other way around you old fucking fool. You should have left on a high note when you had the chance.

Sarah Palin had a problem with the fact that Common was invited to The White House because of some of his song lyrics talking about uzi's. Note to the dingbat, at least he wasn't the vice president of the country and actually shot someone!

And finally to all of you Farmville haters out there. It was announced yesterday that Lady Gaga will be releasing parts of her new album on the Facebook game. Suck It Haters! A Gagaesque farm will be set up and those of us who have farms will be able to reap the benefits that the rest of you will not! Finally, there is a fucking perk to playing that fucking game!

Idol Time - The Final Four! OH and Gaga!

Last nights show was billed as the great Gaga mentoring session with the final four. It didn't take place to the second half, but then again this isn't about her, it is in Randy Jackson famous line, about those that "are in it to win it!"

Lets just net this shit out because I left the show last night irritated as hell!

I love me some James, but his first song was not all that. Sorry James, but the cast of GLEE does "Don't Stop Believing" much better than you did last night. Doesn't mean I don't love you still Boo, just mean it didn't do it for me. What it lacked vocally for me was definitely there in the performance. His second song was good on both counts.

I then found myself being highly irritated with Scotty. First of all, the shameless pandering by his song choice,"Where Were You (When the World Stopped Turning)”,It is obvious that the judges want him to move onto the final three because they wouldn't shut up, I though it was ok, but not all that.

Then after he was mentored by Gaga, he further pandered to his audience by saying that he felt as if he needed to kiss his cross after meeting her. Hey Scotty, I got something for you to kiss baby and it ain't no cross! I thought his second song was sloppy and stupid. I certainly hope that he is in the bottom, if he hasn't already.

Lauren has completely lost her luster to me. I didn't like either song choice, I thought they were boring and I am tired of her. It really is that simple. Next!

Now onto my biggest beef of the evening, the way Jennifer Hopez and Randy Jackson ganged up on Haley about her first performance. It was completely out of control and Haley was pissed as she should have been. I by far thought her first song was better than Scotty and Laurens and am completely irritated the way the judges attacked her.

I have an issue with Hopez condemning someone else for there choices. Really Jennifer, one word, Gigli! Step back bitch!

Then Haley came out and delivered for the second week in a row one of the best performances of the season with “I (Who Have Nothing).” Of course, Randy and The Ho took all the credit saying it was because they beat her up so bad that it made her sing better.

Seriously if I would have been there I would have thrown a fucking shoe at the bitch!

On a side note, would the Idol prodicers please let Randy know that all of the contestants are in it to win it! There is absolutely no reson for him to repeat that phrase after every oerson sings!

I have no clue who will go tonight! I know I voted a zillion times for Haley just our of anger! Will it count, we will see!

Why Is It?

That no matter how in order you have things before you take some time off work, inevitably when you return, all hell has broken loose?

Case in point, I returned to work Tuesday after a lovely weekend in NYC with Luis, where he finally got to meet the great David Dust, and my work computer went crazy.
Now, if I worked for a real company, this wouldnt be an issue, I just pick up the phone and call my IT department. But this is my company we are talking about! Our IT guy is the guy you will read about one day bringing a gun into the office. I honestly think even the owner of the comapny is scred of is crazy ass.

Needless to say , fixing my computer was not a priority and I had to get all gay ghetto and throw some major pissiness around. What that got me was the ok to actually pay the Geek Squad to fix me computer. Lord knows it was a lot faster, a lot cheaper, and much easier to deal with.

Now, I am trying to catch up on three days worth of work that has been piling up and bitch slapping some hag who runs my furniture epartment. Runs it in the ground is the more appropriate way to put it, but I digress.

So on top of not having a computer with all my work in it and an idiot trying everything in her power to fuck up a $25K furniture order, I havent really had a chance to talk about New York!

As always, it was great seeing David! It is always fun sharring a cocktail or ten with him and laughing about how fucked up people and life are!

We seem to have avoided the resurgance of bed bugs. knock on wood. They are everywhere!

Luis and I both loved, and hated the fact that the total calories are listed on menu's in NYC. Somethings we just dont need to know!

Idol Time- Finally!

Not much to say! Finally Jacob got the boot from Idol! Thank you jeebus! I was a little surprised to see Lauren in the bottom with him, but oh well.

As you all know, I am not a fan of Jennifer Hopez. Girl gets on my Puerto Rican by injection nerves. But I give her major props. Last night she performed on the show. LIVE! No voice machine, no lip syncing, live. And danced, but the best part, she had smoking hot back-up dancers. What else can a girl ask for?

Now we are on to the final four and it certainly isn't the final four I would have predicted at the beginning of the season, but you Idol watchers are a bit fickle.

On another note all together. Anyone notice the smoking dirty boy goodness that has been playing fiddle on the country numbers? Well after some research, I have found out his name is Nathan Stoops and lord have mercy. YUMMY!

A LIttle R & R....For Me Anyway!

Tomorrow Luis and I are headed to the Big Apple for a little weekend getaway. Well, we are actually going because Luis is going to be doing some 100 mile bike ride, The Gran Fondo, while I am hanging out with one of my favorite people in this world, the amazing David Dust.

We leave on Friday, going to see "Priscilla" on Saturday, some carbo loading after for Luis, then up at dawn on Sunday so he can peddle his ass through Jersey. It is at this point that David and I plan on taking in some food and libations.

Then back on Monday. I quick but well needed break, for me anyway!

Idol Time- Something Old, Something New

Last night the contestants had to sing two songs, one from the last couple of years and an older one? I am not aware how old it had to be, but whatever.

Let me go on the record right now and say if Jacob Lusk does not go home tonight after the GOD awful performance last night than you might as well grown his ass the winner and close down the show. Yes, that is just how bad both songs were. BAD!

It wasn't just the singing, he then decided to do some dancing, at least I think that is what it was. I had to fast forward through his "rendition" of "No Air". What the hell was Jimmy and Sheryl, as in Crow, as in guest mentor, thinking? I think if Jacob came out of the closet already and sang his ass some gay fucking songs instead of trying to be something he isn't, he would rock the house.

As much as I hate to admit it, Scotty actually did an amazing job on both of his song choices. He must have read what I said about the way he holds his mic, because he no longer looks like he is trying to give it a sideways blowjob. Don't ask!

For me, he finally proved he was a performer last night with his fast paced "Gone" and then slowed it down with "Always On My Mind". One of my favorite performance of the night.

Lauren did some justice to her songs as well, but as I keep saying, I am over her. My co-worker thinks she is actually going to win the show! Egads people! get out the fucking vote, this can not happen.

Anywhore, she did well with a Carrie Underwood song (not a fan of hers at all) and then followed it up with a pretty decent "Unchained Melodies".

Something happened with James last night. I honestly think it has finally hit this boy how big this is and the impact it can potentially have on him. Of all of the performers, he is the truest to himself and his music. You know what you are going to get at a James Durbin concert and I love that.

Last night he seemed to be battling some demons and emotions. I personally thing Crow tried to play chicken hawk and scared the beejeebus out of him. Though a bit pitchy on both songs, they were still damn good. Jacobs pitchiness comes from his inability to perform:James pitchiness last night came from his emotions getting in the way.

Haley, Haley, Haley. She took a big risk by performing a Lady gaga song that hasn't been released yet. I have heard the song before and I think she actually did a great job, Unfortunately the judges didn't likey because they said no one would recognize what she was singing.

She by far made up for it on her second song, and probably the best performance of the season with her rendition of "House Of The Rising Sun". Girl nailed it last night and made me like her a little more. I think she will be safe, but who knows. Rumor has it not that Casey is asking all of his fans to vote for her since he got the boot last week, isn't love grand.

Who knows what will happen!

Like most Americans I was thrilled to hear the news that Osama Bin Laden was killed on Sunday night by US Navy Seals. I think it was an important milestone in this nations history, I think that it was perfectly acceptable for the people of NYC to gather at he site of the fallen towers and celebrate. Come on, they did suffer the worst on the 9/11 attacks.

Now, back to reality, bin Laden was not our only enemy. All of these people who are out there demanding that the US parade the body around like a trophy have lost there ever loving minds. Can anyone tell me what good will come from that?

The only thing that is going to happen when the pictures of his body are released, and I have no doubt it will happen eventually, is that all of the other crazy ass enemies of this country are going to get even crazier and out even more Americans lives at risk. Don't get me wrong, I totally want to see the raid footage, the body, all that stuff, but it isn't for proof of his death, it is because I am a morbid mother fucker and get off on that shit. Don't Judge!

I am by far one of the biggest conspiracy nuts out there, and as much as I find some of the information to be a bit suspect, I do believe that bin Laden is dead. I think there are things about the mission that we do not need to know. The more info we release, the less likely an operation will be able to pull off in the future, so back of America!

I Didn't See That One Coming!

I like many of you were probably more than surprised by last nights announcement by the President that Osama Bin Laden had been killed by US special forces in Pakistan.
I think it will definately go down as one of those moments where we will all remember where we were when the news broke.

I know I was doing something on my computer when a news blip popped up saying the president was about to make an important announcement. To be honest, I figured he was announcing that we were goign to war with Libya.

When I flipped on CNN and John King was talking to Wolf Blitzer about the announcement being about National Security, I was like oh shit, what has happened.
Then they said they could confirm that Bin Laden had been killed I kind of just sctrached my head, and then stayed up way to late watching the coverage.

Let's hear it for Navy Seal Team Six. Who no one knows who are, that doesnt exost on paper and managed to attack, kill remove computer software, burn down the compound and remove the body all in 40 minutes. Who said America cant keep a secret?

I guess the biggest question now is what does all of this mean? I know that everyone is on high alert waiting for the retaliation. Does this mean the end of terrorism? I doubt it. There are way too many crack pots out there, but if you ask me, its a damn good start.

Oh, and yes, I do want to see the body. This apparently was not a capture mission, which I find facinating, but was always intended on being a kill mission. Oh Well.I love the fact that The White House watched the entire thing live as it was going down. So much intrigues me at this point. It will be interesting to see what come out and what doesnt.

I mentioned yesterday that I had lost a cousin and his wife in the horrible tornado's that swept through the south two days ago. His son has posted these pictures of Smithville or what I should say is left of Smithville, Mississippi.

I have been through many of tornado's in my life and am blown away that a town that I spent much of my childhood in has basically been leveled. My heart goes out to all of my family that is suffering and trying to figure out what their next move will be.

Idol Time - Here We Go Again!

America, you fucked up, again! Last night one of the two best performers on the show got the boot. That's right, Casey got sent home for the second time last night and I AM NOT PLEASED. I smell a set up! I think the producers want one of the girls to win and they have a hand in this! Yes, I am yelling conspiracy!

Anywho, the wretch Jacob and the country crooner Scotty were in the bottom three with Casey, but you could see it on Casey's face that he knew his time was up. I have no doubt in my mind that he will find a career in the music business, but as far as I am concerned, I am pretty much over the Idol at this point.

James Durbin is really the only reason to watch it at this point because the other singers lack personality, soul, and all around life when they perform.

Sadly, I was informed that the town I used to live in Mississippi was one of many that was obliterated. Even worse is that word has reached our family that my step father has lost some family members. My cousin and his wife both perished in what I can only image was a horrible death as a tornado destroyed their home and everything else in its path. This is a picture of their car and what is left of their home.

I haven't seen Peanut, yes Peanut, I told you we were from the south, and Ruth in probably twenty years, but it still breaks my heart. There are only about 900 people in Smithville and from what I have heard most of those that have survived are just walking around dazed and confused.

Send positive thoughts to those that have lost everything and say a chant or two to try and calm Mother Nature down. She has been on quite the tear here lately and it has gotten way out of control.

Idol Takes on The King, Carole King That Is

I am a huge Carole King fan and was thrilled that was the theme of last night! Did I tell you how much I love her? Anywho, we are down to the final six and the realities of the situation are this, no one is safe at this point. I don't care how well you perform, from this point out, the favorites to win will still manage to get the votes. Of course I have been wrong before, see how easily I admit that Mr Trump.

Not only did they sing as individuals last night, they sang duets. Unfortunately those duets were so bad, I am going to pretend that they didn't even happen, as I am sure James and Jacob are doing this morning. The only excitement came when those two pulled Jennifer Hopez out from under the table and gave America a Sharon Stone moment and made Hopez immediately drop her hand to her crotch to cover the black hole.

All and all, I think that the performers all did a fairly good job and my biases got in the way of really enjoying their performances.

Scotty did "You've Got A Friend" and the first thing I noticed is he stopped holding his mic so funky. Luis liked it better than I did, but I still enjoyed it as one of the best performances of the night. Bring on Broadway night please!

We will skip over to the other country bumpkin, Lauren. I am so over her. I like her, I like her voice, I am over her lack of confidence. They even brought in The Bong Queen, Miley Cyrus herself, to help. OVER IT! To the point that I don't care who she drags up on stage to sing to, I want her to go home. Your right, you suck, go. Hows that! Maybe that will wake her silly ass up. She sang "Where You Lead(I Will Follow). Again, good, but does she have the votes?

I am still angry over my boy Stefano going home last week because as far as I am concerned, it should have been Jacob. My bet is he will go tonight after his version of "Oh No,Not My Baby". Once I got over the shock of what he was wearing, I tried to focus on his singing, but I cant help thinking that he looks like a friend of mine that used to do drag. Brought chills to my spine. He is in trouble!

Then there was that wretch Haley. Another one I am over. She needs to be in the bottom two and just go already. I know that will break poor Casey's heart, rumor has it they are having a fling, even Steven called them out on it last night. Best thing that could happen to him is for her to beat it. She did "Beautiful". Ugh ,again it was good, but I don't like her so she can go.

The best two performances, naturally again came from Casey and James.

James start of "Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow" was haunting then he made it his own and I loved every note of it. There is such a purity to his voice. Steven kind of dinged him, but he needs to shut up, I think he is jealous. Randy went as far as to say he could definitely win the show, kiss of death. It was a damn good performance.

Casey did “Hi-De-Ho (That Old Sweet Roll).” It was him! It was fun, it was a great performance. It was a no brainier.

So who will it be? I think that Jacob and Hailey are in the biggest trouble, but I would love to see Lauren on the cliff as well.

We will see.

Donald Trump and his fellow bunch of Republicans can strut around all they want with their peacock feathers standing high today as if they have accomplished some great thing.

No, they didn't do anything important like figure out a way to help the economy, find a way to end the wars THEY got us into. No, they finally forced the President Of The United States to show his birth certificate and once and for all proving that the birthers are nothing more than a bunch of racist bastards.

As a country we should be ashamed that we allowed this to be taken as far as it has been. If President Obama were white, this would be a non issue.

Like I have said in the past, call it what it is, racism. Ignorance. Politics. But do not walk around in front of tv cameras and be proud of this day.

It digusts me that with everything we have going on, this is what the Republican party felt was the most pressing issue in this nation!

Four years, 2,526 post's, 370,235 views, 265 followers. Not what I was expecting when I started this blog about life of an angry gay man living in Chicago.

A lot has changed in those four year; A new house, a new president. I have said hello to many new friends and goodbye to those friends that really weren't friends after all. I have grown and I have faltered. I have fallen down and picked myself back up again. I have shed many of tears with friends as well as for friends.

I have marched in Washington and rallied in Chicago. I have seen the GLBT community take two steps forward in some places and three steps back in others. I have found a new resolve to persevere.

I have caused anger and hopefully some joy over the last four years. There are days that I can't find it in myself to share my thoughts or rants. Not that there isn't anything, but sometimes it is just to draining to write about how society has lost its ability to care.

Thank you to all of you that take the time in your day or week to stop by and take in a little of my life. I have truly appreciated the comments as well as the advice some of you have shared with me. I am well aware that I have been combative at times and not as gracious as I could have been. It wasn't meant to offend but to cause pause and maybe open your eyes to a different vantage point. I love being the devils advocate.

Here is to another four years and beyond. As time continues to move forward in our ever changing world, I hope that I get the pleasure of actually meeting more of you face to face. Share a cocktail or two, break some bread and form an even stronger bond that would have never happened if it weren't for this silly blog. Thank you!

It's A Gift

I am a klutz! There, I said it, I have admitted it, it is out there for the world to know. I don't see it as a curse, but as a gift presented to me by a goddess as reminder to not take myself too serious. Here are just a few of my happy little accidents in the last few weeks.

Besides my usually tripping up the stairs and missing a few on my way down, it is a given that at least once a week when taking the stairs down to the basement I will manage to smack my head on the beam just before the landing. It isn't that it is too low, I just seem to manage to bounce off my foot at the right time and bam.

Two weeks ago at work I was changing a fluorescent bulb and was on a step ladder, of course I was on the top step. In the process I ended up turning myself completely around and without even thinking about it took a step back, thinking I was going to find a step. What I found instead was nothing since I had completely turned around on the top of the stool. Needless to say, I looked as if I had been beaten with a ball bat. I was lucky enough to catch myself before hitting the ground, but I thought I had cracked a bone in my hand, my wrist was bruised deep, my hip took a hit as well as a bloody leg.

This weekend I was being butch, it happens, and was working on replacing the lock on our new gate. Power tools, no problem, screw driver, not so much. It slipped and I ended up dragging my knuckle across the wood. I look as if I had a fight and I won!

If that wasn't good enough, I had to also do some repair on the eve spout that runs beside our patio. It wasn't long enough or at a high enough angle. With all of the rain and monsoons we have been experiencing this spring, it has started to erode all around the patio and a sink hole was forming.

After I filled the hole with rocks, bricks and dirt, I had to cut the old spout put it at a higher angle and attach the new longer spout to that. Sheet metal, hack saw, you see where this is going right? No stitches, but another nice gash in my hand.

Last night at the gym, John The Trainer had me doing something absolutely stupid, knowing my super human ability to run into a brick wall as well as trip on my own shadow, had me jumping straight up onto an 18" platform. Yep, you guessed it, the final jump was not the prettiest and I ended up smashing my big toe. I don't think its broken, but it is red swollen and hurts like a mother fucker.

But wait, it doesn't end there! When I got home, limping, bleeding, scabbed, I was walking by the basement door and do what? Catch it with my hip! Now we can add bruised to that list.

I know Luis has bought stock in Neosporine and bandages.

Needless to say, if you like a man with scars,that would be me. It does me absolutely no good to get upset or discouraged by this gift. All though there are times I want to sit there and cry when I almost knock myself out, at this point in my life, all I can usually do is laugh it off.

The word drought come out of any weather persons mouth this year I will personally drive to the studio where they are spreading their lies and stone them on the spot.

We broke a record last week for 8 consecutive days of rain for the month of April. We got a small break with two days of sun, and cold, only to be followed up with five more days of rain. Drought, I think not, floods, more like it!

Idol Time- Where Is The Outrage?

Last night the horror of all horrors happened on American Idol, no I am not talking about Katy Perry, I am talking about my boy, my boo, Stefano being eliminated!

Where are the celebrities crying foul? Where are the pickets? Mind you, I called it yesterday, but there was a glimmer of hope in my eyes when I saw him standing up there with Jacob! In my opinion, he is a far better singer than that skank, yes I am at that anger level, Haley and the wanna be Luther. UGH!

Oh well, there is always hope that a piece of stage equipment will fall on them.

It was sweet to see how devastated my boy James was. Haley and Jacob better watch there backs! He was no pleased at all tat his BF(F) was sent home. He is watching you two.

Oh well, on to next week!

Idol - Songs From The 21st Century?

Let's just say I aged a bit when they said they were singing songs after the new millennium, ugh.

Anywho, if you needed any proof why the first five were kicked off already, it came in the form of the opening number when they got together and sang "So What" by Pink. OMG, my ears were bleeding before I could get the remote and fast forward! What the hell! Idol producers, please do not do that to use EVER AGAIN!

The little montages this week included the singers picking on each other, it was fun and they all seem to really be enjoying themselves. Thank the heavens someone else besides me called out Scotty for the way he holds the microphone. He says he holds it like a flute, whatever its stupid looking, stop!

He chose to sing Leanne Rimes version of "Just A Swinging"? Say what, that song was originally done in the 80's, I should know, I was in Nashville the first time it was performed, another story, another day. Needless to say, he didn't sing the fun upbeat tempo version that Rimes sang, but the slower original version. Finally the judges told him he needs to think more about his song choices! He was first, I hope his lack luster performance doesn't make him the forgettable number one.

Of course James come out and does his thing. He is a performer and out performs anyone else in the competition. After being made fun of for all of his scarves, gay, he comes out with a marching band and performs Muse's "Uprising". I am biased because that is one of my favorite songs, but I think he nailed it! You cant help but think he is going to be in the finals.

Haley took a big chance in my book by doing Adele's "Rolling In The Deep". I didn't hate it, but I didn't love it. I think she was just starting to get into it when the song was over. That isn't a good thing because to me she isn't a fan favorite and most likely will be joining the "So What" crowd.

Casey came out and stole the show. Not necessarily for his song, Maroon 5's "Harder To Breath". Don't get me wrong, it was a good performance, but it was the fact that he kissed Jennifer Hopez at the end that got the most reaction. I think Steven Tyler actually popped would and started dry humping the table. For that alone, he should be safe.

Jacob, Jacob, Jacob! I had high hopes for him last night but in par, he disappointed me! To no surprise, he is known as the diva of the house, naturally. He chose to do some Luther and "Dance With My Father". Apparently his father dies when he was 12 and during the practice he and that horrid troll Jimmy both broke down. I was expecting big emotion from the performance, I am still waiting it fell FLAT! He could very much be in trouble.

My boy Stefano did Ne-Yo's "Closer". Like him or not, the kid can sing and he is hot. He apparently also thinks he is quite the "ladies" man. Whatever. I will show him what its like to be with a lady! Anywhore, one of the contestants said that he would try and pick up a kleenex if he thought it had estrogen in it. Thou does protest too much sweety! Especially when you come out in fireman looking pants and black tee. YUMMY! Anywho, I am sure he will be in the bottom three because no one loves him like I seem to and I can only vote so much.

Last but not least was Lauren. Apparently she talks A LOT and with an accent, who knew. Personally I am getting tied of this kid acting like she doesn't know how to fucking sing a song. She has the pipes and she knows it. I think troll baby Jimmy is scaring her and she is second using her career as a singer so she is holding back. whatever the reason, her version of "born To Fly" was good, but should have been great. It lacked any emotion what so ever. I would be surprised if she is in the bottom, but you never know.

My choices for bottom three, Haley, Jacob and Stefano. Later Haley, but I could be wrong.

Today starts the second trial of our former Govornor, Rod Blagojevich. Things have been realtively quite from his camp until last week when the impromtu interviews started happening, the tv appearences, Oh the fun!

What bothers me the most about this is how the prosecution is hadeling the process. If they had a slam dunk case like they say they do, then they would have won the first time.

Going to the judge and crying that Blago is using the media to reach out to potential jurors sounds like sour grapes to me. They have even skewered the juror questionaire in a way to make sure that they dont ahve any lone holdouts that led to a hung jury last time. Again, if your case is so rock solid, seemms to me that it wouldnt matter who was sitting on the jury.

Alos, release all of the tapes that you have. I question thats on those tapes that they dont want the rest of us to hear.

Dont get me wrong, I think Blago is a crook, but I also think he was doing the same thing that every politician in this country has done. The diference here is he got caught.

I kid you not people, the storms that came through Chicago last night were out of control! They were the type of storms that come through on a hot humid 90 degree summer day, not a 4s degree chilly day!

Mama Nature must be going through the change or something because this is getting out of control. As for me freshly planted grass seed, it was all pretty much washed away after last nights storm!

No, I am not talking about Donald Trump and Sarah Palin, I am talking about Mother Nature and our weather man! Yesterday it was a nice sunny day, breezy chilly, but not cold. I checked the weather and it said lows in the 40's, highs in the 50's all week with lots of rain. The perfect time to plant my grass seed. This is what I woke up to! We set a new damn record for snow fall for April 18th today! I think that when weather forecasters get it wrong, they should be beaten! As for Mother Nature, I am just over that rude bitch!
